A Message from Fire Chief Shane Glaiser
I am proud to endorse the Round Rock Fire Foundation (RRFF). The Foundation supports the members of the Round Rock Fire Department, their families, and our community by strengthening proven programs and helping launch new ones, including department-led education, prevention, and community initiatives.
Every day, our firefighters answer calls that demand physical endurance, mental focus, and emotional resilience. Those demands do not clock out at shift change. They reach into our homes, into long hours, missed holidays, and the quiet stress families carry. RRFF recognizes this and moves quickly when support is needed: wellness resources, counseling, and practical help during personal hardship.
RRFF builds on the strong programs and values already in place in our department. Its role is to strengthen our work, not replace it, by adding resources where they can do the most good. It is also preparing to be a dependable source of crisis relief, ready to stand beside any of our own who face an unexpected challenge.
The Foundation’s work reflects four values that mirror our own: Community, Compassion, Commitment, and Legacy. These values guide how we care for one another and how we serve the City of Round Rock. With RRFF’s support, that culture of care can reach every stage of a firefighter’s career and family life.
To the board members, volunteers, and donors who make this possible, thank you. Your dedication helps keep our firefighters ready for every call, confident that their families have a strong network behind them. I encourage anyone who supports the strength of fire families to stand with the Foundation and be part of the difference it is making.
