  • The Fire Chaplain Ministry exists primarily to support the RRFD and RRFF missions by building, strengthening, and maintaining the spiritual and emotional resiliency, readiness, and wellness of department personnel and their immediate families.

  • Fire Chaplain John Patterson has been with the RRFD since 2019. Chap has been married for 30 years and has 4 grown children and 1 grandchild. Chap is a US Navy veteran and an ordained Baptist minister, having been in vocational ministry as a pastor since 2010. Chap has extensive experience in Family Ministry and currently serves as the Community Life Pastor at Cityview Bible Church in Round Rock.
