Wylie Brownell
His leadership is shaped by deep commitment to the fire service, family, and the community that stands alongside them.
Wylie Brownell has served with the Round Rock Fire Department since 2005 and currently holds the role of Assistant Chief. A lifelong member of the Round Rock community, Wylie has always valued the brotherhood of the fire service—but it wasn’t until his own family walked through profound loss that he experienced just how far that brotherhood would go.
After firefighters stepped in to support his family during his daughter Bailey’s illness and again after her passing, Wylie felt a calling to help create the Round Rock Fire Foundation. His personal experience now fuels the Foundation’s mission: to ensure every firefighter and fire family receives that same level of compassion, support, and care when they need it most.
